A lovely place to stay. Friendly staff, good customer service and bar food, breakfasts were very enjoyable. Nice view overlooking the stream running through the town. Easy parking on the road outside the hotel.
Had a short 3 night stay while snowboarding in Glenshee. The hotel was friendly, great food, great room will definitely be back.
Loved our 2 night stay here in Sep 2025. We didn’t know the village or hotel and took a chance based on the great price and the look of the rooms on the website. We were delighted with it. The hotel has been refurbished very tastefully, the staff are lovely, the bed was comfy, the food was great and we loved the location. All at a very competitive price. We plan to come back very soon.
A truly recommendable hotel with a restaurant. The food was first class and highly recommended, everything was fresh and well seasoned. the room and bathroom were very clean and I enjoyed using them. I am a lazy person to leave reviews but this hotel and restaurant are worth it.
We were visiting Alyth for a family party so the hotel was a perfect location for us. The room itself was beautiful, with a very comfortable bed and powerful shower. However, service at breakfast was terrible, the waitress seemed to be in a world of her own, able to only take an order from one table then return to the kitchen with it, wait for their food to be cooked, serve it to the relevant table then take the next order. There was no offer of coffee or toast or milk or sugar. It definitely influenced our opinion of the hotel.
Hotel was clean and warm with lovely decor, seemed to have been recently decorated. Service at breakfast was superb , as was the food from the varied menu. It was also great that they encouraged us to bring takeaway back to the lounge when their own restaurant is not serving - a good way to support neighbouring businesses.
Don't expect a chain hotel approach. Instead you get marvellous rooms, lovely food and engaging local staff. We really enjoyed our three nights. Just ask politely if unsure and the results will surprise you
Loved the recently refurbished room. Great style and a super comfy bed. The restaurant served some of the most delicious food I have tasted in a long time. Breakfast was great too. Staff were superb. Overall a fantastic stay. I would definitely return, especially to the restaurant.
